Derek O’Kanos’ music is authentic and familiar; reminiscent of the seekers and searchers who came before him. In the uncertainty of 2020, Derek started Oak Honest Records to self release his solo material as well as the works of other artists. He’s released two EP’s with the label to date, On the Sleeve (2021) and Spoken Roads (2022), both drenched in powerpop, folkrock, and alternative vibes.
