Red Idle Rejects

The Red Idle Rejects are an alternative country/Americana outfit from Cincinnati, OH. The band was born out of the group Red Idle when singer-songwriter Steve Bowman showed his band mates a new song that was influenced by his Appalachian roots. ‘Thank God that’s over”, they said when it was finished, deeming the tune ‘too country’.

Bowman pressed on with Where the Lonely Reside thus creating the Red Idle Rejects. Red Idle’s initial rejection of this material has led to the creation of a powerhouse of a group that has received international radio play and high praise for their albums they’ve released thus far including 2019’s Genus Americanas.

Their next release (and first on OHR) is nearing completion and will be available spring of 2021!
